GOALKEEPING
Goalkeepers play a critical part in the game.
The Crossfire Select Goalkeeping program provides goalkeepers with the appropriate training and individual attention they need to develop. This program has been constructed specifically to enable our goalkeepers to grow and develop and, most importantly, enjoy the position no matter what level and or age group the individual is playing.
THE GOALKEEPER PROGRAM INCLUDES:
-
Footwork & Handling
-
Shot Stopping & Reactions
-
Crosses & High Balls
-
Distribution & Starting Positions
-
Goalkeeper Speed Work & Agility
-
Mental Aspects of Goalkeeping
GOALKEEPER TRAINING AND EXPECTATIONS:
-
Attendance is expected and takes priority over team training unless approved by your GK coach.
-
Goalkeepers are responsible for notifying the GK Staff if they are unable to attend a session.
-
Goalkeepers must arrive prior to the session start time prepared with gloves, soccer ball and water.
-
Each training session will last one hour. Please check TeamSnap prior to training to verify that there has been no schedule changes.
Contact our Goalkeeping Liaison, Nick Toon, or our Director of Coaching, Hugo Alcaraz-Cuellar, if you have any questions.
