ABOUT CROSSFIRE SELECT

The Crossfire Select Soccer Club provides an environment that promotes a life-long love of the game while developing teamwork as well as individual responsibility, commitment and leadership through quality training and appropriate competition for all participants.

Crossfire Select is a non-profit, player development club that provides soccer training and competitive play options for players and families in Redmond and surrounding communities. Crossfire Select serves the multi-sport, multi-activity athlete who is looking to play at a more competitive level than recreational soccer. Select teams play in the North Puget Sound League (NPSL).

OUR MISSION

Crossfire Select is committed to providing a quality competitive youth soccer program for U9 to U19 players where players can improve as soccer players and grow as young adults in a positive, supportive and dynamic learning environment.

We aim to:

  • Demonstrate integrity, respect, and sportsmanship

  • Instill a lifelong love of the game

  • Build a strong sense of community

  • Create a player development pathway

We want our players to love soccer at least as much at the end of the season as at the beginning. We believe that the number one reason that kids participate in youth sports is to have fun. Kids will do more of the things that they enjoy and are fun. We are constantly striving to create a fun yet challenging experience.

We do not have a win-at-all-costs mentality. While winning is important, we do not compromise the development of all a team’s players by the pursuit of winning at all costs. Winning should be a product of proper team and player development.

OUR CLUB

Crossfire Select is part of Lake Washington Youth Soccer Association, a non profit, 501(c)3 organization with a dedicated volunteer board of directors elected by the membership.

We have a number of highly qualified and committed coaches and we encourage, support and financially reimburse our coaches to improve their licensing credentials. The Club also provides CPR/First Aid training, generous player discounts and a gear and apparel package to our coaches to enable them to better serve our players!

about

OUR HISTORY

Our journey to become one of the best Select soccer clubs in the state of Washington

  • 2003: We began our journey as an experimental program. At the time, we called ourselves LWYSA Select. We only had U13 and U14 age groups, with just five teams the first year.

  • 2005: The name 'Crossfire' was branded and born!

  • 2006: The club expanded downward through U11.

  • 2007: We hosted our first Crossfire Select Cup with 70 teams participating from across the state.

  • 2009: The Club grew to 33 teams.

  • 2010: Crossfire Select became an official club under LWYSA. That same year, the Crossfire Select Cup hosted 150 teams.

  • 2017: The Crossfire Select Cup hosted 302 teams from across the Pacific Northwest and as far away as Hawaii. The Crossfire Select Cup has become the largest single venue soccer tournament of its kind in the Western United States.

  • 2019: The club now has 56 teams and over 900 players, and is one of the biggest and best Select Clubs in the State of Washington!

  • 2020: We responsibly reduced the number of teams due to resource availability during covid. Controlling our costs during this time, we were better able to take care of our members by providing a much needed all year round program at a reduced fee.

  • 2021: The Club weathered COViD-19 and grew to 58 teams, stronger than ever! Thank you to parent, coach, and leadership support.

Crossfire Select will grow again this year, never forgetting that we are a community based, volunteer led and run organization focused on developing players and people!
